Süleyman Karakuş, the first graduate of the class of 2011, has built a distinguished career marked by leadership, public service, and continued dedication to education and youth development. During his university years, he served as the first President of the Student Council of the university and later became the first President of the Alumni Association, laying the foundations for strong student and graduate representation. He currently serves as a member of the University’s Board of Trustees, continuing his active involvement in institutional governance.

Following his graduation, he completed a thesis-based Master’s degree in Türkiye, further strengthening his academic and professional qualifications. In parallel, he assumed the role of General Manager of his family-owned company, gaining extensive experience in business leadership and strategic management.

In the field of sports administration, he contributed significantly to regional football development, serving as a Board Member of Afyonspor for three years, followed by two years as Club President, where he demonstrated effective leadership and organizational vision.

His political career reflects a steady progression of responsibility and public trust. He began as a Board Member of the Youth Branch, later serving on the Provincial Executive Board. Subsequently, he ran for Provincial Municipal Council in the local elections and, by the will of God, was elected. He then served with distinction as the youngest Deputy Mayor in the province for a five-year term, contributing to local governance, urban development, and community-oriented initiatives.

In addition to his public and professional roles, he continues to serve actively in various educational and youth organizations, maintaining a strong commitment to the empowerment of future generations.

A proud graduate of International Balkan University (IBU), he expresses deep gratitude for the education and values he gained during his time at the institution. Today, as the Chairman of the IBU Alumni Association, he remains closely connected to his alma mater, working to strengthen alumni relations, support institutional growth, and contribute to the university’s long-term vision. His journey stands as a testament to loyalty, leadership, and a steadfast commitment to shaping a stronger future for the new generations.
